Reporting Channel

 

Transportes Matos & Filhos, S.A. strives to respect the laws and regulations in force. Therefore, and in strict compliance with Law no. 93/2021, of 20 December, it has created and implemented this Whistleblowing Channel, so that employees and third parties can safely report any infraction within the scope of this legislation.

 

WHO CAN MAKE A COMPLAINT?

• Workers;
• Service providers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as any persons acting under their supervision and direction;
• Holders of shareholdings and persons belonging to the administrative or management bodies or to the supervisory or fiscal bodies of legal persons, including non-executive members;
• Volunteers and trainees, paid or unpaid.
• Former employees and jobseekers.

 

WHAT DEADLINES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED:

• 7 days - to receive notification of the receipt of a complaint
• 90 days - communication to the whistleblowers of the measures planned or adopted to follow up the complaint and the respective grounds, from the date of receipt of the complaint.
• 15 days after its conclusion, if the whistleblower has requested communication of the result of the analysis carried out.

The record of complaints received will be kept for at least 5 years and, independently of this, during the pendency of judicial or administrative proceedings relating to the complaint.

 

HOW CAN I MAKE A COMPLAINT?

Complaints are submitted through the Whistleblowing Channel, which will be managed internally by the persons or services designated by the Board of Directors, after duly guaranteeing impartiality, confidentiality, data protection, secrecy, and the absence of conflicts of interest in the performance of duties.

LAW NO. 93/2021 OF 20 DECEMBER ESTABLISHES THE GENERAL REGIME FOR THE PROTECTION OF WHISTLEBLOWERS.

 

For the purposes of the law, the following areas are considered offences::

i) Public procurement;

ii) Financial services, products and markets and the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing;

iii) Product safety and compliance;

iv) Transport safety;

v) Environmental protection;

vi) Radiation protection and nuclear safety;

vii) Food and feed safety, animal health and animal welfare;

viii) Public health;

ix) Consumer protection;

x) Protection of privacy and personal data and network and information systems security;
